A teacher with a bad attitude becomes involved in a stand off of stubbornness between herself and a student who attempts to turn in a late exam.
The New York Jets’ active role in making a year-round commitment to the tri-state community.
Hello, I wrote, produced, directed and edited this narrative short film. It is based on a joke I heard long ago.
I was inspired to make this short film because I wanted to work with a group of creative talents to create a film project that would have a high visually creative footprint.
We shot Cyanide Breathmint at the National Black Theatre in Harlem, New York on an empty floor in their W.125 St. building. We spent two long days constructing the set using mostly string, cardboard and wood. Then, we shot on 35mm film stock for two more days. Cyanide Breathmint was edited in my creative studio in Austin, Texas; it was transferred to HD and color corrected by the talented folks at AndTransfer in Dallas, Texas.
I have recently moved to Austin, TX where I am seeking work as a filmmaker and have opened an online film/video production studio with Jerry Thompson called Pixel Propaganda (www.pixel-prop.com). We are currently seeking projects. Cyanide Breathmint is one example of the work we can do.
I want to thank everyone who worked on this film with me. It was a long road but now I can say one thing . . . “here it is.”
Let me know what you think.
P.S. Hit the 4 arrows at the bottom left corner. The film is uploaded in HD and looks great full screen.
